How to Apply Gel Base Coat

  1. Prep the Nails – Push back cuticles, shape the nails, lightly buff the surface, and remove all dust.
  2. Cleanse – Wipe the nails with a nail cleanser or alcohol to remove oils and moisture.
  3. Apply Base Coat – Apply a thin, even layer, making sure to cap the free edge.
  4. Cure – Cure under an LED lamp for 30–60 seconds (or UV lamp for 2 minutes).
  5. Do Not Wipe – The base coat will remain slightly sticky after curing. Do not wipe it. This tacky layer helps the color gel adhere for longer-lasting wear.
  6. Apply Color Gel – Continue with your gel color and finish with a top coat.
